The History of IHI Transport Machinery

1973

Established as Ishikawajima Numazu Transport Machinery by 100% investment of Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.(now known as IHI) at Numazu city, Shizuoka, Japan. First produced cranes for automated warehouse and various conveyors.

1974

Changed the trade name to Ishikawajima Transport Machinery Co., Ltd. and the head office moved to Hommachi, Osaka.

1974

Achieved absorption-type merger with two parking makers; Kansai transport machinery Co.,Ltd. and Ishikawajima Numazu works.

1977

Achieved absorption-type merger with a parking installation company Ishikawajima logistics construction Co.,Ltd..

1978

Head office moved to Kanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

1985

Achieved absorption-type merger with a crane maker Ishikawajima Crane Co., Ltd.

1990

Obtained authorization as a contraction industry from Ministry of Construction, Japan.
(建設大臣 特-2第11671号)

1992

Acquired 100% stock of a hoist after service company Ishikawajima Hoist Service Co., Ltd. (Now known as Ishikawajima Engineering Co., Ltd.).

1994

Changed the trade name to Ishikawajima Transport Machinery Co., Ltd. and the head office moved to Akashi-cho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

1996

Acquired ISO9001 for whole works and products.

1996

Listed on the Second Section of Tokyo Stock Exchange.

2000

Founded “Numazu mechatronics center” in Numazu, Shizuoka.

2004

Established a joint venture Hangzhou XIZI-IUK Parking System Co.,Ltd. with Hangzhou Xizi Trust Technology Co., Ltd (China) and TECO Electric & Machinery Co.,Ltd.(Taiwan).

2008

Achieved absorption-type merger with our subsidiary company Ishikawajima Transport machinery engineering Co., Ltd.

2009

Changed the trade name to IHI transport machinery Co., Ltd.

2010

Founded Singapore office in Singapore.

2011

Established a subsidiary in Malaysia (IHI Transport Engineering Malaysia Sdn.Bhd.).
Founded a local subsidiary IHI Transport Engineering Malaysia SDN.BHD. in Malaysia.

2012

Obtained 100% of share of Fuso Engineering Co., Ltd.(now know as IHI Fuso Engineering Co., Ltd.) of Daikyo Corporation to make it our wholly owned subsidiary company.

2012

Obtained share of Nishinihon Design from IHI Corporation to make it our wholly owned subsidiary company.

2012

Due to subsidiary acquisition by IHI Corporation, IUK’s stock has been delisted from Second section of Tokyo Stock Exchange.

2012

Established a subsidiary in Indonesia (PT. IHI Transport Machinery Indonesia).
Established a local affiliate in Indonesia (PT. IHI Transport Machinery Indonesia).

2015

Established a subsidiary in Taiwan (IHI Transport Machinery Taiwan Corporation).

2016

Inherited building care and parking systems businesses through absorption-type demerger of Hitachi Building Systems Co., Ltd.

2016

Acquired mechanical multi-storey parking device operation and maintenance business from KOYO Machine Industries Co., Ltd.

2017

Acquired mechanical multi-storey parking device operation and maintenance business from NABCO DOOR Ltd.

2018

Established joint venture in China for conducting mechanical parking system business.
Acquired mechanical multi-storey parking device operation and business from ORIENT INDUSTRIES, Co., Ltd.

2021

Acquired Community Cycle system development, provision, and system maintenance businesses from IHI Scube Co., Ltd.

2023

50th Anniversary of the Establishment of IHI Transport Machinery Co., Ltd.
